Library Instruction:
All students will learn how to find what they would like to read in the library, by learning how libraries are organized. They will learn the genre of books they like to read,as well as, what a "just right book" is, and how to choose one.
Students grades 3-5 will learn some skills for doing research and how to use our district data bases. They will learn about why "Googling" a subject that has 2,000,456,043,347 hits is not an efficient way to find reliable and accurate data for a topic, and how our specific data bases can help them be more efficient in their searches.
Students will also be instructed in plagiarism and copyright, and how to give credit where credit is due, by citing their sources.
