Welcome Custer Elementary!

Custer is an elementary school that believes that every student, family, and staff belong.   We are a Kids at Hope School! We believe in looking at the Hope factors in a child and how to help them be successful. No exceptions, no excuses.    

My name is Megan Qualls and I'm incredibly lucky to be the principal of Custer. This is my 1st  year at Custer Elementary and I’m BEYOND excited to be here. I look forward to partnering with our families! We would like to hear from you if you have questions, concerns, or feedback on how we can best serve your children. I have two kids.  One goes to school in our district and the other works in our district!  I believe it is the BEST district in the WORLD! Please reach out at any time to let me know how we are supporting your child(ren).

Upcoming Dates

Meet/Greet (Ice Cream Social) is MONDAY, August 31st from 5-6 (Meet us in the field!)

First Day of School (1st-5th) is Wed., Sept. 2nd.

First Day of School (Kinder) is Tuesday, Sept. 8th

Before/After School   

Please note, students should not be dropped off before 7:50 a.m. Supervision of students begins at 7:50 a.m. Students should not be dropped off prior to 7:50 am. We care deeply for the safety of your student.   

  1. Breakfast will be served each day at 7:50 AM. School begins at 8:10AM.  Breakfast is free for all students.   
  2. Students will need to be in their classrooms ready to learn by 8:10AM.  If a student arrives after 8:10 AM, they will need to come to the front office for a tardy slip.   
  3. Lunch is free for all students (although we still need ALL families to complete a Family Income Survey)  
  4. Students will be dismissed each day at 2:40 PM.   

At the end of the day, please ensure you are watchful of our busses at the parent pickup area. We have supervision out there to help support this transition and to keep students safe.
